What the OKX referral code gives you
With the referral code UNLOCK20 you get 20% of trading fees back. This is a fee rebate: part of each trading fee you pay comes back to you. It applies to eligible spot and futures trades; buy, sell and convert transactions do not qualify. It is not a cash sign-up bonus, and the code does not pay out USDT on its own.
On OKX, the rebate attached to a referral code is set by the person or partner who owns the code, which is why different codes give different percentages. The full conditions are in the "Offer at a glance" box at the top of this page.
OKX sign-up bonus and welcome bonus: what is running now
There is no new-user welcome bonus from OKX Europe running at the time of our last check. The most recent new-user programme, part of the "Pre-IPO X-Perps" campaign, ended on 8 October 2026. Earlier welcome campaigns ("up to €400", "145 USDT") have also ended. When OKX Europe launches a new one, it will appear in the list below.
The promotion currently open to EU users is a deposit bonus. It is not limited to new accounts, so you can join it with or without a referral code, but it has its own terms:

Rules worth knowing: Eligible deposits are capped at €43,750, so the reward is at most €3,500 in USDC, spread over 52 weeks. Withdrawals reduce the eligible amount, and balances held before you opted in do not count. First payout scheduled for 21 November 2026. OKX can change or end the campaign at any time.
What the 8% deposit bonus is worth in practice
The bonus is 8% of the USDT you deposit on-chain and convert to USDC after opting in, minus anything you withdraw. It is not paid at once: OKX spreads it over 52 weeks in two-weekly payments, and each payment requires your balance to stay at or above your eligible net deposit. If you withdraw part of the money, later payments shrink or stop.
Example with stated assumptions: you opt in, deposit 1,000 USDT, convert it to USDC and keep it on OKX for the full year. The bonus would total 80 USDC over 52 weeks, roughly 3 USDC every two weeks. The maximum of €3,500 in USDC requires €43,750 of eligible deposits.
OKX promo code vs referral code
People search for an "OKX promo code", but OKX does not use separate promo codes for sign-up. What exists is:
- the referral code (also called invite code), entered once when the account is created, which gives the fee rebate described above;
- campaigns such as the deposit bonus, which you join with an "Opt in" or "Join now" button on the campaign page, not with a code.
So UNLOCK20 is the only code you need at sign-up.
Which OKX company you sign up with
EU customers of OKX are served by OKX Europe Limited. Its MiCA authorisation, the supervisor and the date we checked the register data are shown at the end of this page. The authorisation concerns the services that company may provide in the EU. It does not confirm any bonus, which we check separately against OKX's terms.

Use the button at the top of this page or go to OKX's EU website and choose to create an account.
Check the referral code field
The sign-up link fills in UNLOCK20 for you, in the "Referral code (optional)" field below the email address. If you open the sign-up page another way, type the code there yourself.
Verify your identity
Complete OKX's identity verification. The deposit bonus requires advanced verification, and most account features need it anyway.
Opt in to any campaign before depositing
If you want the deposit bonus, press "Opt in" on the campaign page first. Deposits made before you opt in do not count.
The referral code cannot be added once the account exists, so check the field before you submit.
How to check that the rebate is applied
After your first trade, open the trade history and compare the fee charged with the fee rate shown on your account's fee page. In the OKX app, the rebate rate linked to your invite code is shown under the account's invite perks. Look for the returned amounts in the rewards or asset history.

Troubleshooting
- The field was empty and I already registered. The code cannot be attached afterwards. Do not open a second account to get around this; that usually breaks the exchange's terms.
- The page says the code is invalid. Check that you typed UNLOCK20 exactly, in capital letters, and that you are on OKX's EU sign-up page.
- My rebate shows 0%. A 0% rate means no rebate is attached to the code you are bound to. Check that the account was opened with UNLOCK20.
- The deposit bonus did not count my deposit. Only USDT deposited on-chain and converted to USDC after opting in counts; internal transfers and balances from before opting in do not.
Is there an OKX promo code for a sign-up bonus?
No separate promo code is needed. The referral code is entered at sign-up; bonuses such as the deposit bonus are joined on the campaign page.
Does OKX have a welcome bonus for EU users right now?
Not at the time of our last check. The most recent new-user programme ended on 8 October 2026. The open promotion is the 8% deposit bonus.
Can I get the OKX deposit bonus without a referral code?
Yes. It is open to OKX Europe users with advanced verification who opt in, with or without a referral code.
Can I use the code if I already have an OKX account?
No. The code can only be entered when the account is created.
Is the reward cash?
No. The referral benefit is a rebate on trading fees you have paid, and the deposit bonus is paid in USDC over a year. Neither is a cash payment at sign-up.
Does MiCA authorisation mean OKX is safe?
No. It means the EU entity is authorised to provide certain crypto-asset services under supervision. It is not a recommendation or a guarantee. What MiCA is and what it covers.
